The Disney ABC Television Group (DATG) is home to all of The Walt Disney Company's worldwide entertainment and news television properties. The Group includes the ABC Television Network (including ABC Entertainment Group and ABC News divisions); the Disney Channels Worldwide global kids’ TV business and ABC Family; as well as television distribution divisions Disney ABC Domestic Television and Disney ABC ESPN Television. The Disney ABC Television Group also manages the Radio Disney Network, as well the Company’s equity interest in A&E Television Networks. The ABC Family Marketing & Creative team develops marketing strategies to reach our young adult audience, creating and executing all of ABC Family’s advertising campaigns, on every platform. The team is a full-service department, so the intern will gain exposure to every type of creative – off-air, on-air, digital, social and print. The intern will work within our in-house branding and design team to design and produce elements such as print advertising, social media elements and premiums.


Basic Qualifications: -All candidates must be eligible to work in the US. -All candidates must be at least 18 years old. -All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship. -All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the 12-week program. -All candidates must be willing to work at least 20 hours per week, up to possibly 40. -All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. -All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session. -All candidates must be in the process of pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a design field. -Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. -Interest in Advertising and Branding for the entertainment industry. -Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite software products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Preferred Qualifications: -Strong Design skills demonstrated by portfolio samples. -Strong grasp of social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.). -Working kNowledge of KeyNote or PowerPoint.


Responsibilities: -Produce graphic design and production elements for ABC Family’s marketing campaigns. -Assist other team members to support campaign deliveries. -Participate in creative/concept development, through attendance at meetings and brainstorming sessions. -Partner with team members to conduct competitive network research.
