Description

As a Media General Broadcast College Intern, you will have the opportunity to work at one of our television stations, located around the U.S., during the summer months where you will gain hands on experience while working and training with our station leaders. Our interns participate in a rotational program which consists of spending time working and training within multiple different station departments while learning and contributing to the success of the entire company. We offer a great opportunity to gain real-world broadcast experience and to network within the industry. Our interns have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a television station, from concept to broadcast! In summary, you'll learn the latest broadcasting techniques in a fun and rewarding environment!

Requirements

Education/Experience MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Familiarity with or prior exposure to broadcast, journalism, communications, multimedia, news production and/or advertising. Strong oral, problem solving, communications, writing, editing and presentation skills. Must be highly self-driven, demonstrate great initiative, display a professional demeaNor, exude high energy and show attention to detail. Must be a confident, flexible, multi-tasker, and be able to work independently as well as in a group or team environment. Additional Requirements Must be able to juggle multiple tasks from multiple sources at one time and will work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced office environment. Some travel may be required on an occasional basis.
