Description

POLITICO seeks a business development intern to support a wide variety of functions across the company’s business teams. This person will have significant exposure to POLITICO’s advertising, POLITICO Pro, marketing, events, operations and other teams. They will help develop processes and complete analysis that supports and improves the company’s operations and informs its decisions.

This is a paid internship with flexible timing. University students are welcome to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

Requirements

- Research and data analysis skills. Significant experience with Excel is a must, experience with analysis software and languages (eg. VBA, Microsoft Access, R, SPSS, SQL, Stata, data mining, Python) is a plus - Experience designing decks and presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop) - Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail - Excellent communication skills in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders - Ability to find and clean data, Notice trends, extract insights and prepare presentations and summaries - Demonstrated experience developing, leading and executing projects from conception to execution, and tracking results and impact - Ability to multitask and prioritize many conflicting, rapidly evolving projects and tasks - Understanding of or interest in media, especially media revenue strategy - Ability to work under pressure with quick deadlines - Demonstrated organizational skills To apply: Please send a cover letter, resume and the your responses to the below two prompts to [email protected] with this in the subject line: BUS0007.
