Description

CNN Sports' interns have an opportunity to experience, learn, and have exposure to Newsgathering and Programming - World Sport for CNNI and Bleacher Report on CNN-US and HLN. Interns assist sports newsgathering by providing sport event coverage support, logging interviews and game highlights, research stories, and gather video elements for edit. On the programming side, the interns research story ideas, gather video and graphic elements for shows, greet show guests as well as show them out after scheduled appearances. Interns also assist the teams with basic administrative and production tasks. Intern schedules vary and may include week and weekend work.

Requirements

Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills- Detail-oriented and reliable- Must be computer literate and well-versed in the areas of social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)- Available to work out of Atlanta location- Students must provide a resume and cover letter- Student should have a strong academic record (3.0 or above is strongly preferred). Students @ Work Internships Program dates are September 21, 2015 - December 4, 2015. Interns are paid at minimum-wage based on location, and relocation is Not provided. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may Not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner's Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis.
