Description

he Media & Communications Seasonal Employee will be responsible for supporting the Media & Communications efforts of Honda Center under the direction of the Media & Communications Associate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • KNowledge Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) • Must possess strong organizational skills, be self- motivated and creative • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time, detail oriented, and work well under pressure • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Assist with editing and distribution of media materials including press releases, media alerts and fact sheets. • Assist with the coordination and operation of media events, campaigns and press conferences. • Maintain and update Honda Center’s media contact lists (print, online and broadcast.) • Continually work with the New Media department to proof content of the Honda Center website and social networks. • Create original and compelling social media content to support Honda Center events as directed by Communications Associate. • Monitor print, online and broadcast media for articles on Honda Center, upcoming events and industry-related issues. • Track media coverage and compile recap Notebooks. • Organize historical archives and photos. • Fulfill media requests for photos, event and facility information. • Assist with communications efforts for Anaheim Food & Beverage Service, including writing and editing program collateral with heavy emphasis on social media integration. • Assist with media relations/communications efforts related to The Grand Terrace, including writing and editing program collateral with heavy emphasis on social media integration. • Update and distribute the Calendar of Events to media and building partners. • Assist with the credentialing of media for select Honda Center events. • Support communications and marketing efforts of self-promoted events including lead generation, pitch ideas and cross promotional opportunities. • Assist with box score reports and yearly totals - tracking and reporting show data. • Conduct research and planning for special projects as assigned. • Support department in all administrative needs and assist the Media and Communications Associate as requested. • Maintain the AAM and Ducks culture that attracts, retains and motivates quality personnel.
