The Disney Professional Internships program offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of Disney Interactive (DI) in a seasonal, paid assignment with meaningful and productive projects that allow you to build you resume. You will be working full-time hours and provided with challenging projects, performance feedback, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This position will start in September and last through December. The Digital Content Intern plays a critical role in daily production for the suite of Lucasfilm digital experiences. The ideal candidate must be intimately familiar with digital culture and have a passion for social media, digital content experiences and digital marketing. You’ll be working with other Content team members, Social Media Managers, Designers, Content Editors and various Product/Program Managers to bring these distinctly Lucasfilm brands experiences to life.


Basic Qualifications: • Experience with social media on (at least) a personal level (use on a business level preferred) with competency across platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Google+. • Moderate competency with Photoshop—the ability to create graphics using existing templates, edit existing graphics to fit given specs, etc. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write engaging, clever, and concise short-form copy. • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Drive. • Highly organized and detail oriented with exceptional sense of accountability. • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment. • Passion, appreciation and kNowledge of Lucasfilm IP (i.e. Star Wars, Indiana Jones) essential. • Familiarity with social media publishing platforms and/or content management systems such as WordPress a huge plus. Required Education: Enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program. Responsibilities: • Schedule social media posts, web site and app updates as directed. • Assist with social media moderation, engagement, sentiment gathering and reporting. • Help maintain the social media post calendar and ensure it is accurate and up-to-date with assets delivered for use by international social teams. • Basic production design tasks such as gathering and formatting images. • Basic short-form writing tasks such as social media copy, image captions and descriptive blurbs. • Various other production tasks. • Contribute to the idea creation of content pieces for in-house production.
