The Disney ABC Television Group (DATG) is home to all of The Walt Disney Company's worldwide entertainment and news television properties. The Group includes the ABC Television Network (including ABC Entertainment Group and ABC News divisions); the Disney Channels Worldwide global kids’ TV business and ABC Family; as well as television distribution divisions Disney ABC Domestic Television and Disney ABC ESPN Television. The Disney ABC Television Group also manages the Radio Disney Network, as well the Company’s equity interest in A&E Television Networks. The Digital Media design team within DATG creates the next generation of compelling digital video products across Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, ABC and ABC Family brands. This internship is a hands-on design position that will see the process through from ideation to launch. This person will work with Sr. Designers and Associate Designers to create high-fidelity visual designs of a product concept and production graphics of the user interface. This person will be an advocate for the user and kNow how to balance business priorities with usability needs. This person will collaborate with Product, Marketing, Brand and Development teams. Mobile and responsive design skills are required.


Basic Qualifications: -All candidates must be eligible to work in the US. -All candidates must be at least 18 years old. -All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship. -All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the 12-week program. -All candidates must be willing to work at least 20 hours per week, up to possibly 40. -All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. -All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session. -Adobe Creative Suite: including Photoshop and Illustrator. -MS Office including Outlook. Preferred Qualifications: -Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year. -Familiarity with our brands. -Apple KeyNote and/or PowerPoint. -Understanding of HTML5 and CSS3. Ability to code is a plus but Not required. -Adobe After Effects or other motion graphics applications.


Responsibilities: -Assist Design team in creating production assets for Watch Products and websites. -Work with Design leads on developing style guides and handoffs for techNology team. -Work with Design leads on secondary page designs and layouts for web and apps. -Work with Marketing team to create assets to promote our products across web, e-mail and on air campaigns.
