Description

Learn design writing from the best in the business. Communication Arts magazine has featured exceptional graphic design, illustration, photography, interactive design, typography and advertising since 1959. We regularly publish 1,800-word stories on subjects ranging from folk-art illustration to the user interface design of virtual reality apps.

Ideally, you love design and branding as much as writing and editing. You awe at elegantly designed websites and drool over hand-lettered wine packaging—and you can tell the difference between award-winning work and a dud. You're also a keen editor and a clear writer who kNows how to structure a profile, fact-check for accuracy and craft a punchy sentence.

In terms of your work personality, you're flexible, curious and a team player. You're easygoing, yet motivated. You can listen to constructive feedback and use it to grow.

We'd love to immerse you in the world of visual communications and help you develop as an arts & culture storyteller in our paid ($15/hour), six-month editorial fellowship program.
