The ideal candidate is extremely organized, dependable, proactive, and able to think outside the box. The internship is for a minimum of two days a week from approximately mid-late August/September through early-mid December. This is an unpaid position. Interns must be currently enrolled in a college/university secondary education program, and may receive course credit for their internship. Interns should be available 2-3 days a week. Niche Media is looking for 1 highly-motivated intern for the fall 2015 semester to shadow our entertainment and bookings editor. The internship experience will include attending “meet and greets” with talent (actors, musicians, experts) alongside the editor and learning the day to day of departmental workings such as researching talent for both Niche cover and feature articles, assisting with and transcribing interviews, pulling research for feature stories, and compiling credits for the cover stories.
