Description

EVINS is looking for dynamic and motivated interns for the Fall semester who are interested in exploring a career in marketing with a focus on PR. The internship will provide an environment in which they will grow, develop, and enhance professional working skills in a collaborative, inNovative, and fun work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a passion for PR, Marketing, and Event Planning.

The Interns will work in one of our four groups (Food, Wine & Spirits, Lifestyle, Travel & Hospitality, and Digital) to assist in promoting that division’s clients through consumer and business-related interviews, press releases, and targeted pitches. Interns will develop writing, communication, and event production skills, while learning how to develop targeted media lists, draft pitches, track media placement and coordinate deliveries to key media contacts at the nation’s top print and broadcast outlets. Interns will assist the teams with client reporting and budgeting, strategic planning, product mailings, and follow up.

Requirements

Requirements: -Junior, seniors, or graduate students who are currently enrolled in a credible college/university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related degree. -As this is a Non-paid internship, applicants must be receiving college credit. -Must have a love for writing and creative brainstorming -Strong verbal and written communication skills -Personable and outgoing style with a knack for proactive problem-solving

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: -General administrative support -Drafting press materials (press releases, memos, and pitches) -Compiling press kits and media lists -Clipping and copying essential press clippings -Assist in creating gifting items -Participating in office brainstorms -Assisting with events and event staffing -Internet research and data mining
