EllaEmmaPea Media is a video production and blog network that publishes the blog AGirlandHerHipHop.com and the upcoming lifestyle blog NoWhipCream.blogspot.com. We are currently looking for journalist with conversion writing skills to represent AGirlandHerHipHop.com in the major cities New York, Los Angeles and Chicago who are into the music scene preferably hip-hop, but Not limited to. This could turn into a permanent and paid position for the right person.
Duties are:

-Work under the supervision of online editor of AGirlandHerHipHop.com
-Attend regular meetings with the Online Editor and accept assignments to research and
cover news stories, features, specialist interviews and other original content.
-Take responsibility for content of the news areas of the website, ensuring consistent
high quality, good ‘inclusive’ writing, plenty of visuals and the keeping of deadlines.
-Originate new ideas, and propose ways to pull together or link stories thematically and
geographically, and to add in depth coverage on issues.
-Maintain close working relationships with staff from Projects and Creative Resources to keep abreast of the latest fixes and developments.
-Occasionally contribute to other blogs on the EllaEmmaPea Media Network, including productions and
events.

Available year-round.

-Social Meia Skills (Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) -KNowledge of blogger and/or WordPress -Internet access -Video/Photography skills -Must have own camera that captures videos and stills -KNowledge of the inverted pyramid -KNowledge of AP style for articles -Video editing skills -Photography skills

Intern will report at the end of each month to the editor of AGirlandHerHiphop.com with article, event and music ideas via a google plus hangout. At which ideas will be selected to go on the editorial calendar for the following month that will go out No later then the 10th of the month. Ideas can be submitted for the calendar up to that date. Interns will be expected to stay abreast with the latest music and hip-hop news aboard and in their area order to submit relevant ideas to the editor. Interns be expected to cover their cities hip-hop scene from fashion to music and will receive special assignments from the editor when available.
