Description

The National FFA Organization is seeking college students or recent college graduates pursuing degrees in journalism, public relations, telecommunications or a closely related field to share with the world the news and feature stories coming out of the 88th National FFA Convention & Expo Oct. 28 - 31, 2015, in Louisville, Ky.

Twelve Newsroom Crew internships are being offered this year (three reporters, three radio reporters, four social media specialists, one broadcast assistant and one photography assistant). Newsroom Crew interns are expected to arrive on Monday, Oct. 26 and work through Saturday, Oct. 31. Your reward? A small stipend, inside access to an amazing event, coaching on how to become a better communicator and hopefully some awesome clips and experience that will help you in the future. This internship may be eligible for college credit so ask your school's advisor.

Requirements

A few essentials: Newsroom Crew interns are responsible for travel to and from Louisville. Hotel accommodations and most meals will be provided for the length of your stay. Although the internship is unpaid, a $200 stipend is provided. Interested candidates should attach a cover letter, a resume with relevant experience, and samples of your work relevant to the position you most want. Include links to relevant online profiles and please make this all one document.

Responsibilities

(1 POSITION AVAILABLE) Do you have a knack for keeping people and things organized? Then apply to be our first-ever convention and expo broadcast assistant. Last year's National FFA Convention & Expo live broadcast on RFD-TV went off without a hitch and we want to continue our success with someone who can wrangle people and help prep for interviews. You'll also work with our communications and marketing teams to find great stories during the convention and expo that could make it on air both for TV and our ìFFA Todayî radio show. This position will be working behind the scenes, but applicants will need some technical savvy so streaming, camera and video production experience are a plus.
