Description
The internship will provide positive real world experience related to online and print publishing, marketing and advertising. Internship is a minimum of 3 months and may last up to 6 months in duration. This is a Non-paid position. Intern will Not be entitled to a job at the end of the internship.
Requirements
Experience Required/Preferred (leave blank if included in position description above)
Experience in writing articles and blogging for high school, college papers or other publishing entities is preferred. Social Media Experience is helpful. Candidates should kNow how to use MS Office software and online storage / collaborative tools such as sky drive, drop box, google docs and more. Prior experience in print design or website development a plus. Interview skills, working with business owners, sales experience or background/education in marketing/advertising considered advantageous. Responsibilities
Help develop ideas and work with staff or clients writing descriptions for our online listings as well as writing articles and blogs for our online publishing site (www.hometownsavvy.com) and other related content for our print media (direct mail magazines - see www.htsavvy.com).
Helping to develop ideas and content for our online Eugene/Springfield area website www.EugeneSavvy.com (part of our hometown savvy brand) and our social media network will be a primary focus of this position. The position may also help develop and write marketing language for business and seasonal trend highlights as well as articles that are being introduced into our published magazine brands (Hometown Savvy - currently kNown as Savvy Saver Magazine). Editing review and marketing concept creation for internal media and PR items may also be available.
