Basic Qualifications: •All students must be eligible to work in the US •All students must be at least 18 years old •You must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship. •All students must be available 40 hours/week (8 hours/day) •All students must be available during the months of September through December for the 12 week program. •All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship •All students must have a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint •Strong passion and desire to learn about the television industry •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, or a recent graduate Preferred Qualifications: •Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher •Previous internship experience within a related field Additional Information: Compensation: Intern positions are paid employment opportunities. Responsibilities: ABC Family Original Programming considers our interns to be members of the team. We seek self-motivated candidates who are organized, upbeat, and eager to work hard in a busy, friendly environment. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, extensive reading/coverage, and additional ad-hoc projects as needed. Love of television and an understanding of the ABC Family brand is a plus. Responsibilities include, but are Not limited to: •Read script and Novel submissions efficiently and critically •Write detailed and informative coverage to assess projects for series development •Support executive assistants in daily duties, including handling confidential scripts for current series •Assist with organizational duties and office logistics •Opportunity to shadow meetings, pitches, Notes calls, and table reads
