FALL – WINTER 2015. PROGRAM.

ROOSTERGNN is offering JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP CYCLES IN MADRID.

The Journalism Internship Cycles will reflect the real dynamics of Editorial Meetings, in which articles, photos, videos are presented, selected and subsequently published by the news agency.

The Internship Cycles have a duration of fifteen (15) days, and registration is limited to a maximum of ten (10) students per cycle.

Students choose to collaborate in one RGNN Channel (Gobernanza, InNovation, Espectaculart, Glamour, Olympus) or DECA (GapBrave, MADbudget or New York).

The Journalism Internship Cycles are open to writers, video reporters and camera men. Content can be created in English or in Spanish, or in Italian in case of the Italy Special.

THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:

• Registration.
• Assigned Mentor.
• Attendance at weekly Editorial Meetings.
• Personalized editorial calendar for each student.
• Publication in ROOSTERGNN.
• Journalistic Use of Social Media.
• Portfolio of published content.
• Journalism Internship Certification, when all of the Program requirements have been met.

INTERNSHIP CYCLES.

The following Internship Cycles are available:

• Starting on August 24 and ending on September 7, 2015.
• Starting on August 24 and ending on September 7, 2015. Italy Special.
• Starting on September 14 and ending on September 28, 2015.
• Starting on October 5 and ending on October 19, 2015.
• Starting on October 26 and ending on November 9, 2015.
• Starting on November 16 and ending on November 30, 2015.
• Starting on December 7 and ending on December 21, 2015.

ROOSTERGNN reserves the right to cancel those cycles which do Not have eNough students enrolled. Cancellations will be Notified as soon as possible.

EDITORIAL MEETINGS.

The Program is regulated by weekly Editorial Meetings, at which attendance is required, at the ROOSTERGNN offices.

Mondays, 12.00 Noon.

PERSONALIZED EDITORIAL CALENDAR FOR EACH STUDENT.

Students choose to collaborate in one RGNN Channel (Gobernanza, InNovation, Espectaculart, Glamour, Olympus) or DECA (GapBrave, MADbudget or New York).

Students should consult the list of Topics of Interest when proposing ideas for content. It is recommended that they take full advantage of their time in Madrid, Spain, to conduct first-hand interviews and research.

Students will be evaluated continually throughout the Program, and remaining enrolled in the Internship Program will be necessarily linked to the student’s compliance of a minimum set of goals within the Program.

PUBLICATION IN ROOSTERGNN AND JOURNALISTIC USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA.

Students must meet the following Editorial Program:

Publication. In the case of writers, publish one (1) daily article in ROOSTERGNN, a total of fourteen (14) articles to complete one Internship cycle. In the case of video reporters and camera men/women, publish four (4) videos per week in ROOSTERGNN, a total of eight (8) videos to complete one Internship cycle.

Editorial Calendar. Each student will propose eNough topics for articles and/or videos to put together an editorial calendar that will cover the student’s publications for the entire Program.

Journalistic Use of Social Media. Students will share links to their articles on social media, in order to increase the audience of their publications.

BENEFITS OF THE JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP CYCLES IN MADRID.

Portfolio of published work. At the end of the Journalism Internship, students graduate with a portfolio of published work.

Journalism Internship Certification. Those students who have met all requirements of the Program, in terms of attendance and publication, can request a Certification. Certifications are emitted by Channels or DECAS.

Letters of Recommendation. Letters of Recommendation will include the merits achieved during the Program.

ACADEMIC CREDIT.

Students must complete all requirements of the Program in order to obtain Academic Credit. ROOSTERGNN will certify a total of thirty (30) hours of academic credit for each Internship cycle.

REGISTRATION.

To formalize registration in the Program, students should submit the following documentation:

1. Enrollment Form.
2. Updated CV.
3. Photocopy of Passport or ID document.
4. Photocopy of wire transfer of Tuition Fee.

TUITION.

The tuition fee of thirty (30) Euros per Cycle covers the following:

• Tuition Fee and Registration.
• Journalism Program: Assigned Mentor, Attendance at weekly Editorial Meetings, Personalized editorial calendar for each student, Publication in ROOSTERGNN, Journalistic Use of Social Media, and Portfolio of published content.
• Journalism Internship Certification, when all of the Program requirements have been met.

Tuitions fees should be paid before starting the Program, via bank transfer or cash deposit into a bank account that will be provided on the Enrollment Form.

PROCESSING OF ACADEMIC DOCUMENTATION SUBJECT TO SOLIDARITY FEES.

For processing each of the following academic documents, a fifteen (15) Euro solidarity fee will need to be paid:

– Recognition of University Agreements and Academic Credit.
– Letter of Recommendation, if applicable.
– Certification of Portfolio of Published Work.
– Processing of other curricular documentation.

Processing of academic documents should be requested via email to the Internship Coordinator and payment of solidarity fees will need to be paid to a bank account that will be communicated for this purpose.

All documentation should be requested before beginning the Internship. Please Note that academic documentation will only be emitted to those students who successfully complete all requirements of the Internship Program.

APPLICABLE LEGAL FRAMEWORK.

The legislation applicable to the Journalism Internship is the legislation valid in the Kingdom of Spain.

The Journalism Internship Program in Madrid regulates the organization and execution of the internship.

ROOSTERGNN can take photos, videos and interviews of the Journalism Internship Cycles and can make use of this material in its publications and promotions.

ROOSTERGNN reserves the right to modify the Internship Program according to the needs of the agency. The updated version of the program will be available at http://rgnn.org/internships/journalism-madrid/program.
