Basic Qualifications: •All candidates must be eligible to work in the US •All candidates must be at least 18 years old •All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship •All candidates must be available from September through early December for the 12-15 week program •All candidates must be willing to work Thursday – Sunday schedule work schedule (32 hours/week) throughout the assignment •All interested candidates must be willing to work on Saturday & Sunday •All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship •All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session •Previous experience (academic or internship) related to reporting or writing news content Preferred Qualifications: •Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year •Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher •Demonstrated interest in journalism (print and/or broadcast) via academic coursework or previous internship experience •Previous experience (academic or internship) related to reporting or writing news content •Previous experience (academic or internship) in editing for publications •Previous experience (academic or internship) in pitching stories/ideas for review •Demonstrated interest (academic or internship) in political discourse/political studies •Previous experience (academic or internship) with in-depth research, news or political


Responsibilities: "This Week with George StephaNopoulos" features news-maker interviews, political news analysis and debates a wide range of issues. The intern will assist in the daily editorial research and writing for the show and all platforms. Responsibilities include but are Not limited to: • Editorial research • Writing and editing stories, scripts, outlines etc. • Locating and researching elements to feature on broadcast & social media • Coordinating and managing logistics for show guests *Note that this internship requires working on the weekend – all interested candidates must be willing to work on Saturday & Sunday*
