Description
We are looking for an energetic, motivated superstar intern who wants to gain Public Relations and Communications experience. As the PR and Communications intern you will gain valuable, on-the-job skills in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will get to interact with spokespersons, members of the media and work on projects in music, fashion, film, politics, business, and other lifestyle categories.
You are an ideal candidate if you: can work independently, have exceptional writing skills, loves to think creatively, and is Not afraid to speak up with a fresh idea. You are a lover of social media, all things digital, an avid reader of blogs (music, fashion, entertainment, pop culture, news) and is up to speed on the latest trends and tastemakers. Before the summer is over, you will have worked on a high profile initiative, events, community service related projects and will walk away with some serious skills as it relates to brand building, market research, digital strategy and public relations.
This position is remote, meaning you can work from anywhere so you must be reliable, trustworthy, responsible and able to meet deadlines. The schedule is flexible however, you must be available during business hours, and Monday evenings (remotely) from 8:30-9:30pm to manage social media during a live podcast. You will need to have your own laptop and a quiet working environment to participate in conference calls and media outreach. This position is unpaid but can be used toward college credit where applicable.
