MSLO offers internships for college students in a variety of fields. Internships expose students to all facets of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and allow them to experience work in an inNovative, progressive, and fast-paced professional environment.

The Internship Program is designed for college level students to have the opportunity to work in one of the company's business segments: Media, Merchandising, or Corporate.

MSLO’s Fall Internship Program will start in September and last approximately 10-12 weeks. All internships are held in our New York City office. It is a part-time unpaid internship with a 16-20 hour/week commitment. In order to be eligible for an internship, students must be able to receive academic credit.

Requirements

• Highly creative, confidential, adaptable, and professional • Extremely detail oriented • Ability to demonstrate effective & professional verbal and written communication skills • Strong writing skills • Ability to type accurately at a speed necessary for completing documents as needed • Ability to operate all equipment and programs necessary to perform the job • Strong MS Office & PowerPoint skills • Strong understanding and interest in digital space focusing on social marketing Qualified Candidates: Candidates should be entering their Junior or Senior year at a 4-year accredited college or university or be in an advanced degree and must receive academic credit for their internship at MSLO. Interns will be responsible for their own travel, housing, food and personal expenses. Application Package should include: Resume, Cover letter and writing/design samples (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Keep track of and document all social media marketing activities • Competitive analysis in all channels. Make suggestions on what to optimize • Keep input document up to date with key food holidays, popular internet wording/slang, pop culture, trends • Work to build relationships with other websites and online communities • Brainstorm and idea creation • Assist with social media accounts • Participate in special projects, or other duties as assigned • Focus on social media engagement on various networks including Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter
