Description
The Crackle Product team architects and executes the product roadmap for Crackle. This includes strategically developing new features and functionality for Crackle across all supported platforms (mobile/ tablet, smart TVs, gaming consoles and streaming box/ sticks) that meet the business goals and objectives while also designing intelligent systems and tools for a smooth operational management of the product within the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Latin American territories.
Productβs role is to work with all internal Crackle teams like content programming, operations, video operations, marketing, ad sales, business development, etc. to determine the high-level business requirements for each group, and then to distill those raw requirements into a fleshed out, more refined and workable user stories & UI/ UX specification for the engineering team.
The team is responsible for ensuring developed feature/ product meets all requirements before rolling out to live users.

Qualifications
Ability to learn and use new tools and software quickly
An aptitude for understanding technical architecture of mobile, web and console/ connected TV applications
Serious passion for digital media, specifically mobile video, games and applications
Excellent writing skills in addition to strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented
Self-starter and self-motivated with the proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Ability to prioritize multiple task assignments by communicating/ asking questions

Exposure to traditional and agile software development approaches preferred

The Spectrum Internship Program's Fall session is a part-time, 20 hour/ week commitment lasting for a 14 week period from mid-September through mid-December. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 14 week session.

Responsibilities
Review and document product requirements for new features and enhancements to Crackle applications, including wireframes and flowcharts to capture all use cases and scenarios
Test new features for compliance with product requirements by loading test version of applications on devices like smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and supported streaming boxes/ sticks
Verify, document and troubleshoot issues/ bugs in Crackle applications across multiple platforms like mobile, web, smart TVs and gaming consoles
Update daily status for application development using tools like JIRA and issue tracking spreadsheets
Understand existing workflows/ processes and document standard operating procedures, implementation guidelines for tasks that apply across all Crackle platforms. These can be technical development or operational tasks
Support the product team to call out dependencies and resolve blockers quickly to meet project timeline
Prepare daily reports highlighting key metrics like number of video streams delivered, number of active users etc.
Exposure and hands on experience with cutting edge software, tools and techniques in the digital content industry, specifically DRM, Ad TechNologies and UI/ UX practices
Experience how ideas realize from brainstorm sessions to rough requirements & wireframes and finally into working software that users enjoy
Measure success of new features and ideas by checking key metrics before and after
Understand different viewpoints from stakeholders for new product features and how these are prioritized and fulfilled as the product is developed, tested and launched
