Description
US Domestic Networks Channel Programming Team is responsible for programming, scheduling and trafficking in order to broadcast two cable networks, Sony Movie Channel and Cine Sony as well as digital broadcast TV network, getTV. The US Networks programming group is also responsible for the delivery of VOD content to our affiliates for Sony Movie Channel and Cine Sony. The intern will gain hands-on experience on the whole process of broadcasting movie channels which includes Screening, Standards & Practices process, Quality Control, Data Management, Rating Analysis, Audience Engagement, Social Media, Trafficking, Scheduling, Programming, VOD delivery process and industry scheduling software.

This Intern should be passionate about television and film. They should have a strong understanding of film and entertainment history – as well as being an avid movie watcher. They should also have a strong background in short form writing.
The Spectrum Internship Program's Fall session is a part-time, 20 hour/ week commitment lasting for a 14 week period from mid-September through mid-December. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 14 week session.
Responsibilities
Some projects and/or responsibilities of the intern will include assistance in maintenance of metadata while working in industry related software, Wide Orbit. Other areas will include quality control of our channels, working with our product fulfillment group in the delivery of titles for linear and Non-linear playout, assisting with the programming department with curating posts for our channels and monitoring the delivery and pitching of our content to affiliates for VOD.
