Description
Bonneville Phoenix internships are semester-long (unpaid) opportunities for college students to gain a fuller understanding of the broadcast industry and expand their skill sets. Bonneville Phoenix offers internship opportunities in sales, marketing, news programming (reporting/editing), sports programming, audio production, web/digital content production and video production.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
18+ and currently registered as a college/university student, eligible to receive internship credit through their educational institution.
Upon selection intern will be asked to sign an agreement and provide proof of internship credit.
Schedule is between 15 and 25 hours per week depending on school requirements.
Basic computer kNowledge
No guarantee of employment upon completing an internship.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination
Responsibilities
To learn the "behind-the-scenes" aspects of sports programming. Some of the learning experiences these interns have are learning how to put a sports talk show together from planning through execution, how to pull audio and how to edit that audio for on-air use during a show.
