Description

An internship at “The View” provides students a multifaceted understanding of all aspects necessary for the production of a live television show. Grounded in a hand-on approach, interns play a vital role in all aspects of operation and production.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US • All candidates must be at least 18 years old • All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship • All candidates must be willing to work up to 3 full days/week (8 hours/day) • All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship Preferred Qualifications: • Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher • Previous internship experience within a related field • Proven Able to take direction and follow-through on projects • Obtained or pursuing Television Production or equivalent Journalism degree

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: • Observing the control room, studio floor & editing of promos • Audience coordination • Distribution of audience give-aways • Production related errands • Assisting/Shadowing segment producers during preparation, rehearsal and execution of segments • Observe/Assist on remote shoots • Assisting tape coordinator, production assistant and research department • Access to observe/interview departments/positions of specific interest (i.e. editors, producers) • Learning duties of and assisting the tape coordinators, production assistants and research department • General office duties Interns will also have the opportunity to hear from a panel of production staff member and observe/interview departments of interest.
