Date Whisperer LLC is a lifestyle and relationship consultant firm based in Washington D.C. The Date Whisperer is also a Radio One affiliate and author. We are looking for skilled writers with exceptional attention to detail who are interested in blogging for our growing website and addressing current issues which include relationships, fashion, finance, and many other topics. Students should be pursuing a degree in the following majors: Communications, Marketing, Finance, English, or Psychology.

Available year-round.

Requirements

We encourage the ability to use this internship for college credit as it relates specifically to your degree in Communications, English, and Journalism. The ideal candidate should have strong research skills, the ability to submit assignments in a timely manner, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This position is ideal for future journalist or someone that is interested in and has experience with the news and media industry. Work hours required are 15-20 hours per week and can be performed by telecommuting. Assignments will be submitted to Date Whisperer’s editing manager each week.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this position will include but are Not limited to the following: •Create 2-5 blogs per week based. Topics will be provided by the Editor and will pertain to each student’s individual discipline relating closest to their major. Each week interns will have an opportunity to create their own independent blog relating to a topic concerning relationships, dating and marriage based on their own personal experiences or taken from current events. •Review the articles to ensure relevance, eliminate redundancies and categorize by topic using professional judgment. •Compile all articles/blogs into weekly reports to be sent to the editor. •Respond to emails and have availability for teleconferencing once a week from editor and CEO regarding weekly assignments. •Perform other duties as assigned.
